Trap for assemblies that may not exist
A colleague recently got a project where they’d like to make sure the app he’s working on can still work even when some DLL / assemblies are not there. These ‘extra’ assemblies are actually assemblies from another app, which can be used to have these 2 application communicate with each other, so there are a small number of entry points where calls are being made to these other assemblies. Windows 7 available for MSDN Subscribers
I’m late to the party… it was out from yesterday, and I forgot about it. A colleague reminded me of it before I went home – so I immediately went to MSDN Subscribers area and started the download. I decided to get both 32-bit & 64-bit flavors (since I can queue the download), and left it to run overnight. This morning, the 32-bit version was downloaded, but the 64-bit one is still chugging along; at 20 KB/s. Yup… so slow… However, just the act of suspending & resuming the download bumps the ......
