Shouldnt OPML also store list of feeds you've already read
OK, so recently I had to format my machine, yes it is still the HP D530 SFF, So I formatted it, and when the time came to set back up my newsreader, I was thinking that all I would have to do was import the OPML I had earlier exported. I think you can guess what I am doing right now (well not right now, but just a fewminutes before posting this). Yes I was going through 3000+ posting just ticking offthose ones that I have already read. So heres a thought to all you RSS Aggregator coders out there, ......

Here's some interesting news that happened to come my way. Lamborgini have gifted the Itallian police one of their Gallardo's. What I am kinda puzzled about is would the officer driving the car be bold enough to wreck it with a Pitt maneuver ......

Search Results WebPart - failover
Recently I noticed a neat fact about the Search Results WebPart; that is how it responded to a failure with the index database, and I think this is pretty cool - "Hats off to Microsoft, for thinking about this" Consider a situation when the SPS is unable to connect to its Search Indexes, like for instance due to a database corruption, or the configuration database account being invalid, then as a result of this severed connection the search shouldn’t work (obviously), or perhaps give horrendous error ......

Stealth Ship running NT

Off of Slashdot -
Guardian article on as Sweedish stealth ship that runs on NT.

A side thought - "maybe Microsoft Marketting should speak to the Sweedish Naval Command and try to sell a couple Windows 2003 licenses."

HL2 Previewed by Gamespot and Gamespy
Planet halflife reports that GameSpy and Gamespot both have previews of a couple of HL2 levels prior to the whole E3 preview.<quote>At last, it seems some of the questions are finally being answered, as we had a chance to go hands-on with the game play through a few levels from the game. The good news: the levels we played look like they'll retain the spirit of the original, while at the same using Valve's new Source engine to good use </quote>Also in other news if you havent yet checked ......

ATI - steps up
Just as I thought, ATI isnt giving up so lightly. Heres a review of their contender - the Radeon X800. Not that I am a big Nvidia fan, but for all I know this just might be a really tweaked version of the 9800 just to buy ATI some time in order to blow away the competition. But looking at the performance specs, it looks like one whopping card ......

After sitting on those chairs for a couple hours my back was being strained. And just think, at office I'm stuck in a chair (i.e. ......

WordML, Xselerator, SharePoint and pushing the envelope
Draft1-(wanted to post this before I forget I was writing this in the first place :) ) Over the past few days I've been playing around with WordML; and I think the possibilities for it from the point of view of an Intranet, are really exciting . Consider Ian Morrish's example of a WordML document being displayed on a WebPart page. With a few tweaks to the XSLT, you can limit the visible portions of the document to only that neccesary for public view. Stuff you would need to play around with this ......
