The rain clouds have come and gone. My fingers might be numb from carpal tunnel syndrome, but progress has been made (and you guys aren't really concerned about my health anyway right? SHOW MEh TeH GAME!!1!11!)

I'm not ready to post the code yet, but I finally got the "following" code for "Follow the Leader" working correctly (almost....). There's one final glitch that I'm trying to track down, but I'm so pleased with where it's at right now I don't care if that glitch haunts me the rest of my life. I'll call it my friend, my little glitchy friend who's been with me through those dreary days of head banging off the keyboard.

So here's a little screenshot of Bob and those good little kids finally following him along his path and correctly spaced. *Sigh* Finally. Thanks again for the help everyone. I ended up taking a little of what everyone said, and some thoughts of my own and getting a working solution. I just never imagined those stinkin kids would take that much work...(as a parent I guess I should have realized kids ALWAYS take a lot of work)

Also, much to my relief, I was able to get a VERY decent start on Printer Jam tonight. With some good nights this week, I might have that one completed by the weekend and if I finish up the Jellyfish AI on the Feeding Frenzy level, I'll have four of my five levels complete! I'm feeling much better about being able to met the deadline.

I will try and get some of my core architecture cleaned up and commented properly so that I can post it up here for people to get an idea of how I'm working with Managed DirectX and 2D game development. I wish I had that up sooner, but I've been trying to balance providing tutorials, code samples and learning materials for others with completing the game and actually meeting my deadline.

Also, for those that might be interested, the 6 year wedding anniversary weekend was a blast! Wifey and I had a great time and can't wait for another year to fly by so we can have another special weekend to ourselves (we don't get too many of those with three small boys!)

Awesome! I'm glad to see you get past the problems you were having. And you made some great progress as well!!! Man, this is shaping up to be a great contest.

Yeah, this is turning out to be a lot of fun. I'm glad you and Chris got me into this. I'm having a blast.
