Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.

You know... for a fairly smart guy, I can be a real bonehead at times.

In my naive youth, which admittedly wasn't all THAT long ago, I honestly believed the only reason people took QA/tester jobs was to get their foot in the door with a software company so they could eventually become “real” developers. It never occurred to me that some folks actually wanted that job.

So now I'm curious, how many of you reader geeks actually took QA jobs at some point in your career, with the sole intent of “moving up” and how many of you actually like working QA type jobs, and don't aspire to be “real“ developers.

Please note the “” around the word real. I mean no slight or insult to QA folks. I'm just using the ““ to illustrate my own previous ignorance on the subject. You QA nerds rock!
