INETA NorAm Membership Division Announces: New Membership Manager - NC, SC

Chris Williams

Chris takes over the Membership Manager duties that have been the responsibility of Connie Marthinsen (cmarthinsen@earthlink.net). We thank Connie for her years of volunteer service to INETA. Connie has for the last four years worked with TRINUG and INETA. She says that her volunteer work with INETA has been a “tremendous experience” for her. Connie says “I am so impressed with the level of commitment and hard work for INETA.” Connie has been President of TRINUG (Triangle Net User Group), Raleigh, North Carolina.

Chris comes very highly recommended from Connie as well as others in his areas that know him and recognize him for his tremendous work with our developer community.

Please welcome him to this new position and extend him every courtesy in working to succeed in our challenges ahead as we work together to build a stronger developer community. Good luck, Chris!

News about Chris –

Chris Williams is the creator of the VB.NET role-playing game Heroic Adventure! He is also the author of several articles on .NET and object-oriented game development, as well as a prolific blogger at his site blogusmaximus.com. Chris is also the founder and current president of the Greater Charleston .NET User Group and founder of the Roanoke Valley .NET User Group, as well as a regular speaker at .NET user groups and code camps throughout the southeast.

A self-proclaimed .NET evangelist, Chris began working with .NET in the early beta days. Quickly realizing he was looking at something huge, he made the leap from VB6 and never looked back. After acquiring his MCAD and MCSD certifications in .NET, along with the "Early Achiever" designation, Chris went on to become an MCT so he could share his enthusiasm and knowledge with a larger audience.

In addition to speaking and working on his numerous pet projects, Chris spends his daylight hours developing software for non-profits at Blackbaud in Charleston, SC.

Congratulations. I look forward to working with you. I met with people from 4 different groups in SC at the Atlanta .Net Launch in November and have a feeling you have quite a community in your hands there.
