Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.
Sorry, but I'm calling bullshit on this one.  The parents aren't right. Nintendo isn't responsible. It's a GAME.

Say it with me... IT'S A GAME.

One more time, in case it didn't sink in:  IT'S A GAME.

It might be a great idea, it might even help kids get in better shape, but at the end of the day, it's just A GAME, produced by a company that MAKES GAMES.  If you want serious health and fitness evaluation software, don't buy it from the people who brought you SUPER MARIO.

Duh people... take some responsibility for your children and stop relying on society to teach them not to lick the light sockets.

Your kid probably was fat anyway. Posted on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 2:34 PM Game Development , General Interest | Back to top

Yeah the UK is getting as bad as the US IMO..

Everyone thinks there is money on the table if you can sue someone so everything has to be someone elses fault.

Add in a media who are so hungry for unique content and a public bought up on reality TV all looking for their 10 minutes of fame and you have the situation here.

Wii fit worked fine for my kids and we did not set any goals for them. I don't know about the kid in the story but some kids need to be told they are overweight
