This is my review of TFS Hosting:
The current offer from DiscountASP is the same than other vendors like SaaS Made Easy, both offers a "basic" version of TFS2010, with similar capabilities about the Project Collections (just one) and Team Projects (unlimited), by the side of Disk Space and Price, SaaS Made Easy have a better offer five bucks less than the price of DiscountASP, for the same storage size (5GB)
Under the SaaS model we could get easily Source Control, Version Control, Work Item Tracking and such, such as said lines above this is a basic version, by that reason don't get Build support, the enrollment process is quite simple and fast, the user management via the DiscountASP portal is a great option for a big number of developer teams, I just demoing to my customers the use of this product and them was charmed, is a great option for small teams that currently using Source Safe, this adding the capabilities to be connect anywhere.
In my last PSD Course I used this product to review the capabilities to manage different Process Templates and concurrently (well just 12 students..but this other history), and works likes a charm, good support for the Scrum Process Template, good response time (in my region the bandwidth is very low) and good experience for all. We are managing three leads for TFS and them are very interested on use TFS Hosting.
What should improve? Reports support, and better dashboard about the Team Project info, with this info in the DiscountASP portal, we will gain a great point of control of the whole process and use of the platform.
See u =)
