DimensionsApp - Another tool for testing your responsive designs
As mentioned before there are any number of tools for resizing a desktop browser to see a responsive design in action.Another one I've just been alerted to, (by the Responsive Design Weekly newsletter), is DimensionsApp, an on-line tool that works with Chrome. Responsive Design: Media Query Bookmarket - shows the applied media queries and current window size
There are any number of tools for resizing the browser window to check responsive designs. One that stands out for me is the Media Query Bookmarklet from the Sparkbox Foundry. This shows you the currently applied media queries and browser size in both pixels and ems. Xat.com Image Optimiser - Useful for RWD/Mobile
An article in the July 2013 issue of .Net Magazine, "Optimise your site for mobile", highlights the importance of image optimisation and has a link to a list of tools for the job.This mentions several well known tools but misses one of the oldest and best, Xat's Image Optimiser. Chrome Responsive Inspector extension
Adobe developers Piotr Walczyszyzn and Filip Lysyzyn have released a beta of their Responsive Inspector extension for Chrome.This cool tool allows you to view the media queries on a responsive web page and see them in action as you resize the page.
